For many scrapbookers and other paper crafters, a laminator is an essential tool they wouldn't be caught without. Xyron has become a trusted brand in the craft community for quality and efficiency. They have a wide selection of laminators, ranging from small sticker makers to large wide-format devices. Each one is an all around great product from this trusted company. A few specific models in the middle of this range offer the best features for creating scrapbooks, cards, and other crafts. The following products listed all offer cold lamination, easy refillable cartridges, and a warranty backing. These models include the Creative Station Laminators 510 and 900 as well as the Xyron EZ Laminator. Here is a look at what these devices have to offer.

  • Xyron Creative Station 510. This laminator is the smallest on our short list. However, this device is so much more than simply a petite laminator. It can be used to create stickers, magnets, and labels, as well as laminate items up to 4.5 inches wide. The five inch opening can apply magnet backing and adhesive across the entire length. This machine is excellent for smaller projects, such as preserving photos or a cherished newspaper column. It can also be used to make bookmarks or to turn your photo into a sticker that you can then adhere directly to a page without the sticky mess created by glue. Even with the versatility seen here, you may be thinking that this is too small for your needs. If so, then keep reading.

  • Xyron EZ Laminator. Of the three we chose to discuss, the EZ Laminator is the most basic. If you're looking for a simple device to laminate documents without all the frills, this is the machine for you. The EZ Laminator protects items up to nine inches wide and it does so without heat, batteries, or electricity. Documents are processed quickly and easily. When you run out of the included laminating film, the new cartridge replaces the old with a simple snap-out, snap-in procedure. And it only weighs about 14 pounds, so you can carry it with you for use anywhere. But if you're looking for a machine to do more than this, then maybe the next device is more your style.

  • Xyron Creative Station 900. If you're looking for the best of both worlds, this is the machine for you. Like the 510, this model offers versatility of usage in creating stickers, magnets, and labels as well as laminating. The cartridges for these are interchangeable and offer the same functions on a wider scale. The 900 laminates items as wide as 8.5 inches and performs the other functions at a full nine inches. In addition, this device includes a removable cutter so you can easily detach items from the machine as they finish. Or if needed, you can pull the trimmer off to crop a photo, then replace when done.

No matter if you scrapbook for a living or simply make the occasional card, a laminator is a great tool to have in your supply closet. Xyron laminators offer safe cold lamination, so there's no chance of getting burned by a hot outer surface. Many of their devices are safe and easy enough for (supervised) children to use. And cold lamination won't damage your photos or other thermally sensitive materials. If you're considering a new laminator for you home or office use, be sure to check out what Xyron has to offer.
